Скубут - Na kryshe
Blessed be Mikhail Shlepin, for what he produces is always cause for an absolute and thunderous need for repeated listening.
It may be his way of bestowing music with an outrageous sacredness, his defiance of clichés by entering into them through the voice that commands hell with mysticism, but in the end each of his tracks is an icy gust of wind in our minds.
Let's talk about Na kryshe.
The introduction is water vapour as it prepares for the rhythmic lash that arrives, with the guitar triggered to turn into dirty water bubbles of manageable evil but pressing on our breath: delicious, irresistible, undeniable.
A double-velocity chant starts from the daytime streets and enters the nighttime ones to visit restlessness through the six strings with anti-rust, while synths open the ice. The voice? That one is capable of burying the mightiest of demons because you can't choke it, you can't escape its charms. And it's contortion, pelvic bonding, for this classy performance that makes Darkwave the legitimate daughter of Post-Punk, here in great form, knowing also how Coldwave is certainly not left out. What's certain is what this listen creates: perdition, sudden melancholy and a sick joy, leading us towards a book full of leaves ready to be read while hovering over Vienna, with Mikhail and his electric jumpers for a pleasant shake...
