Sevit - On The Edge Of A Darker Place
How difficult it is to find variability in an album, the richness of infinite elements. The Dallas band, however, succeeds brilliantly.
Pornography, the supreme mount of doom, has found its worthy heir: different but equally capable of dragging the listener into nightmares, down the road of terror and individual disaster, bringing sparks of death as a gift.
There is no lack, however, of seeds left by Pink Turns Blue, due to melodies intoxicated by an extreme if not also joyously heavy, often pleasantly unbearable beauty.
Syncopated rhythms, voices coming out of abandoned cellars, a writing that is the antithesis of cure, the fog of synths is always punctual to emphasise the complicity of the rhythm section, which is a bottle of intense red wine that can melt our bodies into moved dances.
Thirteen tracks, thirteen putrid Post-punk dregs that will oxygenate your need to fall into the ravine. Spectacular!
