Prenderse Fuego - Nocturna

Buenos Aires is a tinderbox, a path of regressing souls, with poverty knocking on the streets, in the air, in the wrists of many thoughts, with decay advancing and inhabiting every misunderstanding. 

There's a band that visits all this and more with its scratchy arena of voices, noises, sounds, winking at the gothic steam coming out of every manhole with a song that is a storm, with no handbrakes, a vehement and tested machine of reflection within a night in which eternity presents itself by sinking everything but leaving a couple united in pain. They are Post-Punk gushes, scratchy and stinging thanks to a swampy guitar, Coldwave pops up like a shadow with a puny, heavenly synth. The voice is a sandpaper that generates mudslides, a magnificent doing that conquers among the clouds of a reverberation that leans on the hours that glorify the end...

Prenderse Fuego - Nocturna

Buenos Aires è una polveriera, un cammino di anime in regressione, con la povertà che bussa sulle strade, nell’aria, nei polsi di molti pensieri, con lo sfacelo che avanza e abita ogni incomprensione. 

C’è una band che visita tutto questo e altro ancora con la sua graffiante arena di voci, rumori, suoni, ammiccando al vapore gotico che esce da ogni tombino con una canzone che è tempesta, senza freni a mano, una veemente e collaudata macchina della riflessione all’interno di una notte nella quale l’eternità si presenta facendo affondare ogni cosa ma lasciando una coppia unita nel dolore. Sono zampilli Post-Punk, graffianti e urticanti grazie a una chitarra paludosa, la Coldwave si affaccia come un’ombra con un synth gracile e paradisiaco. La voce è una carta vetrata che genera smottamenti, un fare magnifico che conquista tra le nubi di un riverbero che si appoggia alle ore che glorificano la fine…

My Review: Deus Ex Lumina - Fight Black

 Deus Ex Lumina - Fight Black

Being born in Buenos Aires, moving to Berlin.

Playing in several bands and then wanting a solo project and succeeding.

Gonzalo Schwindt is the protagonist here, and his music is a gothic-tipped pyramid with an EBM heart at its core: He moves through musical genres as easily as he drinks some liquor. For a result that is danceable ecstasy, with Dark-Synthpop veins like trees surrounding his cottage, situated well into the nineties. Determined, with a good taste that is now rare when it comes to these artistic situations, his is a track that succeeds in disconcerting for the softness of the parts that slip into black pleasure, fighting with cloaks that defeat the ignorance of the opponent on duty. He throws down the gauntlet and Gonzalo succeeds, because everything settles in the brain like a pleasant torment, surely winning when an average listener would compare the song to Andrew Eldritch of Sisters Of Mercy, especially in the refrain: guilty ignorance! We are in different areas, with different designs. All you have to do is dance and wear a dream armed with strength too, because Black must sooner or later leave this world...

Nascere a Buenos Aires, spostarsi a Berlino.

Suonare in diverse band per poi desiderare un progetto solista, riuscendoci.

Gonzalo Schwindt è il protagonista di questa vicenda e la sua musica è una piramide dalle punte gotiche con il cuore EBM al suo interno: muove i generi musicali come beve probabilmente qualche liquore, come da ordinanza. Per un risultato che è estasi danzabile, con venature Dark-Synthpop come alberi che circondano il suo casolare, situato bene in mezzo agli anni Novanta. Deciso, con un buon gusto ormai raro quando si parla di queste situazioni artistiche, il suo è un brano che riesce a spiazzare per la morbidezza delle parti che scivolano dentro il piacere nero, combattendo con mantelli che sconfiggono l’ignoranza dell’avversario di turno. Lancia la sfida e ci riesce Gonzalo, perché tutto si sistema nel cervello come un piacevole tormento, vincendo sicuramente quando un ascoltatore mediocre accosterebbe al cantato un paragone con Andrew Eldritch dei Sisters Of Mercy, specialmente nel ritornello: colpevole ignoranza! Siamo in zone diverse, con disegni diversi. Non vi resta che danzare e indossare pure voi un sogno armato di forza, perché il Nero deve prima o poi lasciare questo mondo…

My Review: Depresion Radikal - Depresion Radikal

Totally wrapped up in and involved in the lucid damage assessment of anger mixed with depression, Argentines DR, from Buenos Aires, are hopeful fools to whom the old scribe entrusts all his confidence for a career continuation, because we should all need the truth that wants to see itself legitimised.

Three tracks, three different ways of following a frighteningly precise path within the apparently moderate incandescence of depression. The scalpel is an acid and fast blade (Latigo), which between electro punk and Coldwave torments the listener with a crazy and upset dance. When it is the turn of the song that gives its name to the band and to the Ep, one enters with more mystery in the veins, a darker but really precious visit: games of singing bordering on hysteria, but with the low register of the voice. Magnificent.

Discomania concludes the lot, bringing splinters of Kraftwerk and Front 242 to the Argentine capital, and it is apotheosis from the electronic core, something that couples the ancient and the modern in a gloomy and cathartic marriage.

A majestic ep, not to be missed in your discography.

Totalmente avvolti e coinvolti dalla lucida verifica dei danni della rabbia miscelata alla depressione, gli Argentini DR, da Buenos Aires, sono dei pazzi dalle belle speranze e ai quali il vecchio scriba affida tutta la sua fiducia per un proseguo della carriera, perché tutti dovremmo avere bisogno della verità che vuole vedere legittimata se stessa.

Tre brani, tre modalità diverse di compiere un percorso spaventosamente preciso dentro le incandescenze apparentemente moderate della depressione. Il bisturi è una lama acida e veloce (Latigo), che tra electro punk e Coldwave tormenta l’ascolto con una danza pazza e sconvolta. Quando tocca alla canzone che dà il nome alla band e all’Ep, si entra con più mistero nelle vene, una visita più cupa ma davvero preziosa: giochi del cantato al limite della isteria, ma con il registro della voce basso. Magnifica.

Conclude il lotto Discomania che porta schegge di Kraftwerk e Front 242 nella capitale Argentina, ed è apoteosi dal nucleo elettronico, qualcosa che accoppia l’antico e il moderno in un matrimonio tetro e catartico.

Ep maestoso, che non deve mancare nella vostra discografia.
