The Glass Beads - Therapy

After almost three years, the Ukrainian duo's work continues to be among the best ever listened to and experienced by the old scribe: a black-blade experience, a rummaging through feelings and thoughts within The Glass Beads' heavenly and proverbial ability to be a stinging yet mysterious poem, with their well-established method of searching for melody as if a symphony orchestra had taken possession of a new electric vocation.

Can a hypnosis make us find ourselves inside damp, decaying handkerchiefs, with sadness that cannot even get angry, given such poignant beauty? This is music that wars, peacefully, with silence, in a tug-of-war that makes it win, for its plots always full of almond blossoms in December, because they know how to live and express the absurd, without limits or impediments: the Ukrainian duo has omnipotence in its hands.

They are lesiniform leaves: they hurt slowly, even if they present themselves in that way, but perhaps their slowness, the care they take to respect the listener, means that the pain comes a few hours later, because they are devices between mysticism and the conviction that nothing of them will wither.

One of the most beautiful works of all time that knows how to envelop time, carrying the illusion in our veins that the wounds can find a rest, but no: they are the creators of new spasms, but they are beautiful and regenerate the old ones. Between Darkwave, Post-Punk, Synthwave, there are these presences, songs daughters of a becoming that will intoxicate you, like a long film that you will carry in your eyes: forever…

The Glass Beads - Therapy

Dopo quasi tre anni, il lavoro del duo Ucraino continua a essere tra i migliori di sempre ascoltati e vissuti dal vecchio scriba: un’esperienza dalle lame nere, un rovistare in mezzo a  sentimenti e pensieri all’interno della celestiale e proverbiale capacità dei The Glass Beads di essere una poesia urticante ma misteriosa, con il loro consolidato metodo di cercare la melodia come se una orchestra sinfonica si fosse impossessata di una nuova vocazione elettrica.

Può un'ipnosi farci ritrovare dentro fazzoletti umidi, in fase di decomposizione, con la tristezza che non può nemmeno arrabbiarsi, data cotanta e struggente bellezza? Questa è musica che guerreggia, pacatamente, con il silenzio, in un braccio di ferro che la fa vincere, per le sue trame sempre pregne di mandorli in fiore nel mese di dicembre, perché l’assurdo loro lo sanno vivere ed esprimere, senza limiti né impedimenti: il duo Ucraino ha tra le mani l’onnipotenza.

Sono foglie lesiniformi: fanno male lentamente, anche se si presentano in quel modo, ma forse la lentezza, l’attenzione che hanno per rispettare l’ascoltatore fanno sì che il dolore sopraggiunga qualche ora dopo, perché sono accorgimenti tra il misticismo e la convinzione che nulla di loro potrà appassire.

Uno tra i lavori più belli di sempre che sa avvolgere il tempo, portando l’illusione nelle nostre vene che le ferite possano trovare una sosta e invece no: sono proprio loro gli artefici di nuovi spasmi, ma sono bellissimi e rigenerano quelli antichi. Tra Darkwave, Post-Punk, Synthwave vi sono queste presenze, canzoni figlie di un divenire che vi intossicherà, come un lungo film che vi porterete negli occhi: per sempre…
