My Review: Molly - Picturesque

The first sweet tears of the new year come up from the stereo and kiss the old scribe: the creators of this unshakeable joy are Molly, the band from Innsbruck who, even though there are only six songs, release an album (it has all the trappings), which, besides being extremely moving, perfectly defines their reality, musical citizens free to range, to probe, to experiment, to be gazelles with dreams in their hooves, taking flight towards the beautiful Austrian mountains. How meticulous is the production, how perfect is the order of the tracks but, above all, how clear is the sky they show us.

Lars Andersson and his trusted stablemate Phillip Dornauer have no intention of repeating the good previous work entitled All That Ever Could Have Been and have composed an even better one: having abandoned the Shoegaze identity, everything here becomes rarefied, with Post-Rock sticking to the most refined Dreampop and far from the old clichés.  One can daydream and understand the density of the sounds, torches with no need for high voltage to shed light on our dreamlike moments. One weeps because the intensity achieved by the duo is an artistic gift of boundless capacity, as they are not even capable of holding back the fluidity of jewellery in search of a home. They find it in our eyes, while the Progressive spirit (no, they don't make this kind of music) leads the roots of Shoegaze to absent themselves quite a bit to play the game with ingenious touches of notes in serene taste and not biting our bellies with continuous rumblings. La mia Recensione: Molly - Picturesque

Le prime lacrime dolcissime del nuovo anno, salgono dallo stereo e baciano il vecchio scriba: gli artefici di questa incrollabile gioia sono i Molly, la band di Innsbruck che, anche se sono sei le canzoni, pubblica un album (ne ha tutti i crismi), che oltre a emozionare tantissimo definisce perfettamente la loro realtà, cittadini musicali liberi di spaziare, di sondare, di sperimentare, di essere gazzelle con i sogni negli zoccoli, spiccando il volo verso le bellissime montagne austriache. Come è meticolosa la produzione, come è perfetto l’ordine dei brani ma, soprattutto, come è limpido il cielo che ci fanno vedere.

Lars Andersson e il fido compagno di scuderia  Phillip Dornauer non hanno intenzione di ripetere il buon lavoro precedente intitolato All That Ever Could Have Been e ne compongono uno ancora migliore: abbandonata l’identità Shoegaze, qui tutto si fa rarefatto, con il Post-Rock appiccicato al Dreampop più raffinato e lontano dai vecchi cliché.  Si può sognare a occhi aperti e capire la densità dei suoni, torce senza bisogno in alto voltaggio per fare luce nei nostri momenti onirici. Si piange perché l’intensità raggiunta dal duo è un regalo artistico di smisurata capacità, non essendo nemmeno loro capaci di trattenere la fluidità di gioielli in cerca di una abitazione. La trovano nei nostri occhi, mentre lo spirito Progressive (no, non fanno questo genere musicale) conduce le radici dello Shoegaze ad assentarsi parecchio per giocare la partita con tocchi geniali di note in assaggio sereno e non mordendo la nostra pancia con fragori continui.
