Let the record show: when the Germans make you cry, the tears taste of adventure, of a sad joy that clings to you and that you don't want to give up. How much grace, gentleness, shrewdness, how many references that stand out to make listening a hot and tasty omelette. Antique guitars, full of cuts and dust, the voice hammering softly, the drums frenetic but polite, for a sequence of eight deliciously neurotic maidens (Mark E. SMith would approve the whole thing with a joke of his own), the synth that is a vibrant psychedelic nail. The musical genres, different and light years apart, are here united by the German band's sure-grip glue, for an exploration that is astonishing in its intensity and quality. Fresh, haunting, fast, the tracks become a library of those magnetic fields whose intensity and development is often unknown. Curd Neptun produces an intense work, a burst of neurotic energy that we welcome with immense gratitude...
