My Review: Sinclair Noire - Youthfully, Truthfully, Fiendish

Sinclair Noire - Youthfully, Truthfully, Fiendish

All in Houston, Texas, USA.

Why? Are you kidding me? Have you gone mad?

Sinclair Noire are the most astounding display of gothic class residing in that city, already famous for other musical events. It would be good to go beyond memory and not lose sight of this excellent manifestation of oblique force, a wave of Darkwave and Gothic Rock welded in a vertical embrace full of black sparks to illuminate the fake joys we often prefer to live by.

Without forgetting that everything lives thanks to the father of Post-Punk.

Five episodes, one an astonishing ballad (Captain's Rum), acoustic, with a voice like a blunt razor, but, don't worry, it still cuts.

The other four show different attitudes in the conception and evolution of the songs. Particular and spectacular for example is the last episode entitled Witches' Fantasy, with the keyboard and the evil bass, both bending towards the unknown and the voice commanding it in a spectral manner.

A band that probes and fires off songs as if the future made no sense, should not exist, and it is for these reasons that we should not exclude them: let this be our affectionate embrace for some very fine artists...
