My Review: Electra Descending - Life in Monochrome

Electra Descending - Life in Monochrome

Uranium particles take flight from Richmond: just ask to the Dermatological surgeons who correspond with Electra Descending, who seem much more like priests in the act of blessing the confusion of existence rather than doctors capable of healing. In fact, come to think of it, they are the extraordinary creators of this delirium full of arthritis, convulsions and vomits that turn out to be a simply perfect descriptive masterpiece. On their debut album, we have complicit smiles and we can count on them, they inspire us with stout tenderness, wisely damning, and they do so through a splendid gothic sentiment that pollutes the sky from the American city, knowing that it will soon reach the rest of the world: this is the wish that can be made for them. Flashes of Darkwave oil, Coldwave jolts, gratings of Industrial and the perfectly boned Post-Punk rib makes for a dark, pleasantly morbid show. Above all Phantom Sensation: it is she who explains their soul, but then, listening to all the other six, you get the map of the sky in funereal extension. Simply: a miracle to be able to feel so much strength in these raw, dripping particles from above...
