My Review: Chokeberry - Afterglow

 Chokeberry - Afterglow

One should, sooner or later, take a trip and visit San Francisco at night, put some radar on its hilly movements and catch a glimpse, amidst the fog, of the magical and powerful confetti of the trio who, with this new song, pick up heavy legacies, doing great: a cloudburst of colours, sounds, variations on a structure that tends to be accommodating without renouncing strength. A rapturous manipulation of shoegaze sighs and grunge tensions, made obedient and functional to embrace imagination, curiosity and light experimentation, culminating in the territory of addiction, due to a sweetness given by a heavenly singing. The rock that compacts guitar, voice and bass here shows the ability to range between possibilities, to connect with distortions and reverberations that only seem to come from the mid-1990s.

They add, inexorably, a sound research that paints the walls to an almost acoustic end to complete a truly impressive range of solutions. While at first simplicity seems the trump card, as the seconds go by a whole series of entries stimulates the listener to choose an instrument, a part, believing he is winning the challenge. But it is useless: it is the whole of the evolution that certifies the success of this track, a tidal wave of dreams and energetic, energetic movements that make Afterglow an example and a stimulus.   Captivating, sensual, dreamy, it releases toxins within a mental garment that allows one to enjoy these solicitations filled with emotional spheres, in a cage that, by releasing sound, makes it available to feelings that do not fail to reveal themselves.

If we want to see the stars looking for food, all we have to do is descend into the movements of this gem and open up in a smile: sometimes four minutes are enough to be sated in vigorous beauty…
