 HAMBAD - HAMBAD

Clamorous display of centripetal force, in an album that comes from Estonia, secret cradle of dark and magnetic treasures. One throws one's thoughts into the electric waves of Synth that studied Kraftwerk (the first track is an impeccable cover), with continuous mudslides towards the exaltation of all emotional circuits capable of being collected, shattered and then scattered in a game of mouth drooling charisma. The grey, prevailing grey is made palpable and sustainable with these motions full of Synthwave and Post-Punk fires, to show the soulful folds of a country poor in its pockets, but rich in its heart. Bands that with their generous research pile up needs and encode them, with energy and skill. One cannot miss the appointment with the severity of HAMBAD, the necessary luxury to wander in robotic dances...

 HAMBAD - HAMBAD

Clamorosa esibizione di forza centripeta, in un album che giunge dall’Estonia, culla segreta di tesori cupi e magnetici. Si gettano i pensieri nelle onde elettriche di Synth che hanno studiato i Kraftwerk (la prima traccia è una cover impeccabile), con smottamenti continui verso l’esaltazione di tutti i circuiti emotivi in grado di essere raccolti, frantumati e poi sparsi in un gioco fatto di carisma con la bocca che sbava. Il grigio, imperante, si rende palpabile e sostenibile, con questi moti pieni di incendi Synthwave e Post-Punk, per mostrare le pieghe di anime di un Paese povero nelle tasche, ma ricco nel cuore. Band che con la sua generosa ricerca accatasta i bisogni e li codifica, con slanci e capacità. Non si può mancare all'appuntamento con la severità dei HAMBAD, il lusso necessario per vagare in danze robotiche…

Die Letzten Ecken - Talisman

Berlin insists, it churns out bands and works as if it were a river in a perpetual state of birth. A city that shapes and informs the world, has huge arms that know how to encircle restlessness, loneliness, mystery, sows dense fluids of gentle weed, like the one present in the nine songs. A journey through the history of that capital, an advance within the intensity of rhythms, of sounds, of perceptions that make the human being increasingly aware. The synthesisers are mighty waves, to form houses as if they were dance halls, in which one feeds on electronics, on Kraut Rock (could it and should it have been missing? Certainly not!), ending up oxygenating Post-Punk, making it an obedient slave. The glass shatters, as do the balances, and one travels hopelessly upset by this cleverly diluted Dark-Electro pile-up. Their massive intelligence definitively emerges with the fourth arrow, the Zirkus, which elevates their concept, behaviour and poise, as it can compress the file of that place and, once the pen drive is removed, everything remains memorised. One experiences moments of elegant cybernetic poetry (Brennender Kummer), in which the female voice presses to become a dry recitation. And when you get to listen to Talisman, you enter the eighties as if it were a Spin-Off of an eventual film about that decade.

Don't hesitate: go to Germany and get a vitamin boost with this wonderful trio, because you'll be just fine...

Die Letzten Ecken - Talisman

Berlino insiste, sforna band e lavori come se fosse un fiume in perenne stato di nascita. Una città che forma e informa il mondo, ha braccia enormi che sanno cingere l’inquietudine, la solitudine, il mistero, semina fluidi densi di gramigna gentile, come quella presente nelle nove canzoni. Un cammino nella storia di quella capitale, un avanzare dentro l’intensità dei ritmi, dei suoni, di percezioni che rendono l’essere umano sempre più consapevole. I sintetizzatori sono ondate poderose, per formare case come se fossero delle dance hall, nelle quali ci si nutre di elettronica, del Kraut Rock (poteva e doveva mancare? Certamente no!), finendo per ossigenare il Post-Punk, rendendolo uno schiavo ubbidiente. I vetri si rompono, come gli equilibri, e si viaggia perdutamente sconvolti da questo ammasso di Dark-Electro sapientemente dilatato. La loro massiccia intelligenza emerge definitivamente con la quarta freccia, quella Zirkus, che eleva il loro concetto, il loro comportamento e portamento, in quanto sa comprimere il file di quel luogo e, tolta la pen drive, tutto rimane memorizzato. Si vivono momenti di poesia cibernetica elegante (Brennender Kummer), in cui la voce femminile preme per divenire una recitazione secca. E quando si arriva all’ascolto di Talisman, si entra negli anni Ottanta come se fosse uno Spin-Off di un eventuale film su quella decade.

Non esitate: andate in Germania e prendetevi una scossa vitaminica con questo meraviglioso terzetto, perché starete benissimo…

 Scenius - Chinese Room

After the beautiful High Low that appeared in the compilation "ZEITGEIST+ Vol. 2", by the phenomenal Cold Transmission, the duo from Leeds is back with a new classy performance, a Synth Pop pill that welcomes mutations and influences, in a physical journey of strobe lights that make us dance with dark glasses, for a lyric that makes us enter a room and leave it with questions, like a gentle puzzle that enhances awareness. Words that have the bitter taste of dissatisfaction and bewilderment that are perfectly placed in the music, like a pair built to give more value to the whole. Here we are squeezed into a Chinese concrete structure, electrified and mystical, with the city's musical history beautifully summed up and amplified. Nothing to add: the English band is capable of illuminating existential malaise and transforming it into a splendid melancholic song...

Dopo il bellissimo High Low che è apparso nella compilation “ZEITGEIST+ Vol. 2”, della fenomenale Cold Transmission, il duo di Leeds torna con una nuova esibizione di classe, una pillola Synth Pop che accoglie mutazioni e influenze, in una percorrenza fisica di luci stroboscopiche che ci fanno danzare con gli occhiali scuri, per un testo che ci fa entrare in una stanza e uscire da essa con delle domande, come un gentile rompicapo che migliora la consapevolezza. Parole che hanno il gusto amaro dell'insoddisfazione e dello smarrimento che si collocano perfettamente nella musica, come un binomio costruito per dare maggior valore al tutto. Eccoci pigiati dentro una struttura di cemento cinese, elettrificati e mistici, con la storia musicale della città che viene ottimamente riassunta e amplificata. Nulla da aggiungere: la band Inglese è capace di illuminare il disagio esistenziale e di trasformarlo in una splendida malinconica canzone…

 Tulips - Tangled In Transition

Certain music should be listened to on days of subtle rain, when the preoccupation with the force of nature does not offer tension and difficulty. Let us then delve into the most authentic Cologne, capable of offering relief and beauty permeated with consequential boiling reflections.

The Tulips are a hidden heritage, Unesco sometimes makes blunders: it should protect the German band, which with this EP has generated an uproar and a lesson in sounds and attitudes, throwing the past to the wayside, because these guys have changed and improved everything known about this kind of music. A form that grows from the epidermis, fast, rises to the sky, aided by the thrust of the bass and synths, the true rulers of these structures that seem to release toxins on repeat. An electrifying emotional state makes the compositions worthy of being considered a short but intense tale for a reading that becomes idyllic, especially for those with slight torments inside their minds...
