Broken Teeth - 추 락 은 천 히 (How to Sink Slowly)
How sweet is the taste of salt that comes from the enchanting music of Broken Teeth, a line-up from Seoul, which with this album succeeds in scratching our skin pleasantly by virtue of twisting, melodic yet wild guitars, beyond the rhythm of the compositions. One is enraptured, engulfed, taken to the valley of dreams with their majestic, pleasantly dazzling shoegaze, where delicate moments are not lacking. Right from the start, with the bewitching cradle of sound of The Sun Is Setting, we get the impression that shoegaze in these parts has totally conquered a style of its own, and the figure is very high. When we come to listen to Sleepwalk To Sink, the first chords make us imagine that we are seeing R.E.M. relocated to the capital of South Korea, but then they know how to move away from that reference for a path in which their melodic guise becomes their own and intense. With Two Lines, the tears become necessary and it is a beautiful, genuine, vehement cry. The songs favour slowness and know how to do it in a divine way, like a long caress.
We now have the opportunity to train hearts to the invincible tenderness of shoegaze...
