 Assassun - Chronic Quicksand Depression Morning

Vlimmer è un progetto musicale ampio, folgorante e capace di agglomerare ascoltatori tra i più disparati. Ma il suo condottiero Alexander Leonard Donat presenta il suo secondo lavoro a sigla Assassun: dopo Sunset Skulls dell’anno scorso, l’artista Berlinese accelera i suoi impeti e ci catapulta in una giostra elettrica che porta il suo amato Post-Punk ad assentarsi, per dare spazio a formule Elektro Punk bagnate di gocce EBM perfettamente compatibili, per un risultato di eccellente espansione di un viaggio sonoro che racchiude tutta la profondità dell’autore a non fermarsi mai. L’ascolto è una mitragliata gentile di beats e circuiti ombrosi in cerca di melodie che sappiano tenere alta la curiosità: esperimento perfettamente riuscito!

 Assassun - Chronic Quicksand Depression Morning

Vlimmer is a wide-ranging, dazzling musical project capable of agglomerating the most diverse listeners. But its leader Alexander Leonard Donat presents his second work under the Assassun acronym: after last year's Sunset Skulls, the Berlin artist accelerates his impetus and catapults us into an electric merry-go-round that brings his beloved Post-Punk to a standstill, to make room for Elektro Punk formulas bathed in perfectly compatible EBM drops, for a result of excellent expansion of a sonic journey that encompasses all the depth of the author's never-stopping. Listening to it is a gentle bombardment of beats and shadowy circuits in search of melodies that know how to keep curiosity high: a perfectly successful experiment!

 The Dirty Sun - Red Velvet Wolf In The Temple Of Honey

Conceptual delirium, convulsions over epileptic ramifications, an animal instinct released, a thunderous escape from acid dust: the band from San Diego, seven months after the release of the flamboyant album Hummingbirds in the Halley, returns with a single that proves how fertility and quality are one and the same thing for them. Thus, their territorial devastation of pure and intense Electro Punk continues, chock full of energy that serves to enlighten the creatures of the night that howl and create an army of frightened souls. The wolves make us run inside a structure that has developed much from the British electronic music of the late 1970s. They get harder, use the technique of verbal repetition, insert a post-punk bass that tears to pieces the stomach, with electric shocks which melt the nerves. They hurt by making us smile, an oxymoron that dilates the confusion but does not prevent the pelvic dance that makes the forest sweat. In three minutes we get to kick the hive in the face, to run to escape the bees that The Dirty Sun command with skill. A song like heroin in the brain: in the sky the colours become lukewarm palettes and the most correct reference is to Suicide and Cabaret Voltaire, not so much for the musical style, but for the same state of addiction that makes the dance a spring that regenerates with listening.

The Dirty Sun - Red Velvet Wolf In The Temple Of Honey

Delirio concettuale, convulsioni su epilettiche diramazioni, istinto animale liberato, fuga fragorosa dalla polvere acida: la band di San Diego sette mesi dopo la pubblicazione del fiammeggiante album Hummingbirds in the Halley torna con un singolo che dimostra come fertilità e qualità siano per loro una cosa sola. Continua, dunque, la loro devastazione territoriale fatta di Electro Punk puro e intenso, zeppo di energia che serve a illuminare le creature della notte che ululando creano un esercito di anime impaurite. Sono i lupi a farci correre dentro una impalcatura che molto ha sviluppato dall’elettronica inglese dei secondi anni ’70. Si induriscono maggiormente, utilizzano la tecnica della ripetizione verbale, inseriscono un basso di matrice Post-punk che sventra lo stomaco, con scariche elettriche a sciogliere i nervi. Fanno male facendoci sorridere, un ossimoro che dilata la confusione, ma che non impedisce la danza pelvica che fa sudare la foresta. In tre minuti abbiamo modo di prendere a calci in faccia l’alveare, di correre per sfuggire alle api che i The Dirty Sun comandano con abilità. Una canzone come eroina nel cervello: nel cielo i colori diventano tavolozze tiepide e il riferimento più corretto è ai Suicide e ai Cabaret Voltaire, non tanto per lo stile musicale, ma per il medesimo stato di dipendenza che rende la danza una molla che si rigenera all’ascolto.
