Grey Gallows - The Cage

At the time of writing, the whole world already knows this track, which will be part of the Greek combo's eagerly awaited new album, but the old scribe does not want to avoid the joy of giving credit to this duo and the satisfaction of certifying that their prowess, their state of grace, the quality of their path is destined to know both heaven and the deepest darkest zone. This leaden sonic arrow is a stage where their new inclinations are displayed, the fruit of commendable work in search of a mode that expresses all the density of a feeling of art as an absolute quest, where what is learned is not kept hidden. Generous and credible, the band explores a plethora of musical genres, not by extrapolating what could be useful, but rather by bringing it all towards a stratospheric manipulation, improving, producing in the listening the sensation of a house walking in the fog, through hungry synths, capable of caging freedom and making us discover the privilege of a truly useful and necessary sensorial and motor imprisonment. One dances worriedly, attentively, developing circuits of attention that decree the success of this song: let the record show that this duo is incapable of writing nonsense and vulgarity, while, on the contrary, making us grow with awareness…

 Grey Gallows - The Cage

Al momento della scrittura tutto il mondo già conosce questo brano, che farà parte dell’atteso nuovo album del combo greco, ma il vecchio scriba non vuole esimersi dalla gioia del rendere merito a questo duo e dalla soddisfazione di certificare che la loro bravura, il loro stato di grazia, la qualità del percorso sia destinato a conoscere sia il cielo che la più profonda zona oscura. Questa plumbea freccia sonora è un palcoscenico dove vengono mostrate le loro nuove inclinazioni, il frutto di un lavoro encomiabile alla ricerca di una modalità che esprima tutta la densità di un sentire l’arte come una ricerca assoluta, dove ciò che si impara non lo si tiene nascosto. Generosa e credibile, la band esplora una fiumana di generi musicali non estrapolando ciò che le potrebbe essere utile, bensì portando il tutto verso una stratosferica manipolazione, miglioria, producendo nell’ascolto la sensazione di una casa che cammina nella nebbia, attraverso synth affamati, capaci di mettere in gabbia la libertà e di farci scoprire il privilegio di una prigionia sensoriale e motoria davvero utile e necessaria. Si danza preoccupati, attenti, sviluppando circuiti di attenzioni che decretano il successo di questa canzone: sia messo agli atti che questo duo è incapace di scrivere sciocchezze e volgarità, mentre, al contrario, ci fa crescere con consapevolezza…
