My Review: Lital Hagayan - When Words Been Said

Lital Hagayan - When Words Been Said

In the worlds of whispering, of vocals, of compressed and compromised silence, Lital gives them a face, like a projection of images on a wall, becoming an exercise of rare beauty and great depth.

A woman, a fairy in her vocal dives, a siren in her sounds that caress the wind of her Tel Aviv, resists even though there are many opposing forces, and gives us an atmospheric piece, a skiing through the clouds in the density of an arpeggio that arrives like an intense sound swarm, only to free its wings with a Dreampop climate that succeeds in making the words of a being with her feet on the ground more sustainable, in a condition, therefore, to recognise the obstacles of living. And everything feels like a trip down memory lane with the will to convince the present that everything is still possible. A song that knows how to capture the need for acceptance, scattering petals of serenity where you would not imagine it. Subtle, slow, the musical composition thrives on the skilful contact between the verse and the refrain: one always flies, but the routes change, the paths of light rise and one dreams as one listens to Lital sing in a manner perfectly connected to her sensitivity. Like the entrance to a mature adult consciousness, the Israeli composer shows us rays of the future, in which memory and desires establish a sense of actuality. This is what the music does: a flexible scale between the acoustic side of the soul and the electric side of the mind, to bring to our hearts the benefit of a listening that is not only pleasant but above all useful in scattering, within our curiosity, the certainty of finding in this track a gentle quiver, a bearer of tranquillity.

Seventh track of an album that will open the mouths and consents of many, When Words Been Said is the sunflower dust in the streets of its city, to give the sight of our thoughts a bench to sit on and meet a soft windy day...
