 Memoria - From The Bones

It's been four years since the astonishing debut Cravings, and it seems impossible to believe: the second album From The Bones is superior to it, finding in the complicity of producer Rikard Lindh a new energy to give Memoria a greater range of possibilities, to deepen the sound and widen the musical boundaries.

One dreams in the dark from the electronic epidermis, placed on the wings of a Synthwave that is both romantic and decadent, because it is undeniable that there are shadows (never excessive, let's be clear) in these castles of notes that cross time. Songs that emphasise her voice, a bubble feather in the night wind, as it soars, dragging a delightful music that thrives on its contemporaneity, but has a glorious past in its internal circuits. One dances, elegantly, with a refined propensity for dreaming that drags one's legs towards imaginative spaces (Girl), to then have a cup of tea with Along The Sea, a mantra that seems to have come out of the second album by The Human League  compared to which it presents a greater vocal theatricality, then touching on territories dear to Björk.

As you advance in listening, everything leads you to open your imagination, in the absolute certainty that the suitcases of the mind are constantly filled with encounters that make the body float towards weightlessness, ending up leaving on the skin the sensation of a work that purifies the soul.

There is no doubt about it: you will listen to a record that will fuel your desire to take a holiday from torment and you will succeed...

La mia Recensione: Memoria - From The Bones

 Memoria - From The Bones

Sono passati quattro anni dallo stupefacente esordio di Cravings, e pare impossibile a credersi: il secondo album From The Bones gli è superiore, trovando nella complicità del produttore Rikard Lindh una nuova energia per dare ai Memoria una maggior gamma di possibilità, per approfondire il suono e allargare i confini musicali.

Si sogna nel buio dall’epidermide elettronica, posizionata sulle ali di una Synthwave romantica e decadente al tempo stesso, perché è innegabile che vi siano delle ombre (mai eccessive, sia chiaro), in  questi castelli di note che attraversano il tempo. Canzoni che mettono in risalto la sua voce, piuma di bolle di sapone nel vento notturno, mentre si eleva trascinando una musica deliziosa che vive della sua contemporaneità, ma ha nei suoi circuiti interni un passato glorioso. 

Si danza, elegantemente, con raffinata propensione al sogno che trascina le gambe verso spazi immaginifici (Girl), per poi prendere una tazza di tè con Along The Sea, mantra che pare essere uscito dai The Human League del secondo album rispetto ai quali presenta una maggiore teatralità vocale, sfiorando poi territori cari a Björk .

Avanzando nell’ascolto tutto conduce ad aprire la fantasia, nella assoluta certezza che le valigie della mente si riempiano costantemente di incontri che fanno fluttuare il corpo verso l’assenza di gravità, finendo per lasciare sulla pelle la sensazione di un lavoro che purifica l’anima.

Non vi è dubbio: ascolterete un disco che alimenterà il desiderio di prendervi una vacanza dai tormenti e ci riuscirete…
