 The National Honor Society - To All The Distance Between Us

La si ama proprio tanto la band di Seattle: il suo Pop è una carezza romantica, un approccio garbato, una successione di canzoni che spaziano, variano di parecchio, con uno stile che è facile riconoscere.

Si passa da un Indie Pop capace di alte velocità a un Alternative che pare avvolgere senza voler sembrare scortese, ma sempre con la melodia al centro, facendo credere che la città si sia spostata a Birmingham (UK), nella metà degli anni Novanta, avvicinandosi nella zona della Sarah Records con atomi di Dreampop acerbo e spettacolare. Colpisce e affonda la capacità di instaurare un rapporto, con le sue canzoni, nel quale sono proprio i componenti della band a essere sorpresi per primi, per il lavoro di arrangiamenti che le fanno volare nel cielo delle nostre fantasie…

The National Honor Society - To All The Distance Between Us

You really love this Seattle band: its Pop is a romantic caress, a gentle approach, a succession of songs that range, varying a lot, with a style that is easy to recognise.

It goes from an Indie Pop capable of high speeds to an Alternative that seems to envelope without wanting to sound rude, but always with melody at its core, making one believe that the city has moved to Birmingham (UK), in the mid-nineties, approaching the Sarah Records area with atoms of acerbic and spectacular Dreampop. Striking and sinking is the ability to establish a rapport, with its songs, in which it is the band members themselves who are surprised first, by the arrangement work that makes them soar into the skies of our fantasies...

Torna la Lady Gotica di Los Angeles, sempre più addentro a una coltre melodica di sentimenti oscuri che vengono quasi anestetizzati da arrangiamenti deliziosi, mentre la chitarra graffia e dà uno schiaffo (gradito, per carità!) al cantato, vero centro di gravità permanente, che è il faro di questo brano, lento, seducente e capace, con il suo Art Pop, di lasciare tutto perfettamente godibile. Non è difficile immaginare la danza che può suscitare Agoraphofic: una fiumana di sensi a circondare i desideri per farli arrendere, uno ad uno…

The Gothic Lady from Los Angeles is back, more and more penetrated by a melodic blanket of dark feelings that are almost anaesthetised by delightful arrangements, while the guitar scratches and slaps (welcome, for goodness' sake!) the singing, the true permanent centre of gravity, which is the beacon of this track, slow, seductive and capable, with its art pop, of leaving everything perfectly enjoyable. It is not difficult to imagine the dance that Agoraphofic can provoke: a torrent of senses surrounding desires to make them surrender, one by one...

La mia Recensione: No Juventud - Nudos

 No Juventud - Nudos

La formazione di Simon Gaviria torna con quattro tracce piene di quella sacralità che ben conosciamo: si entra nell’oltretomba per rimanerci, in un perimetro soffocante, avamposto di una eternità dove le ombre sono raggi di luce sepolcrali. Il loro Post-Punk è una scossa Darkwave ora, con elementi elettronici a rendere più vasto il loro repertorio, più in grado di affacciarsi agli anni Ottanta europei (La Tormenta), e gravitare nella nebulosa Neo Gotica (Dolor), mentre con Nudos qualcosa di sperimentale si presenta, pur ricordandoci nell’attacco iniziale i Cult dell’album Love. La conclusiva Salir A Jugar è sicuramente il brano che sferra l’attacco al passato della band Colombiana e ci mostra muscoli e lampi di di furore, spalancando il suo futuro verso atti di gloria: bentornati e grazie di cuore!

No Juventud - Nudos

Simon Gaviria's band returns with four tracks full of that sacredness we know so well: one enters the underworld to stay there, in a suffocating perimeter, an outpost of an eternity where shadows are sepulchral rays of light. Their Post-Punk is a Darkwave tremor now, with electronic elements to make their repertoire broader, more able to lean towards the European Eighties (La Tormenta), and gravitate into the Neo-Gothic nebula (Dolor), while with Nudos something experimental presents itself, though bringing up to our minds in the initial part The Cult and their album Love. The concluding Salir A Jugar is definitely the track that launches the attack on the Colombian band's past and shows us muscles and flashes of fury, opening its future towards acts of glory: welcome back and thank you!

La mia Recensione: Callière - Freefall Into Heaven

 Callière - Freefall Into Heaven

Una colata di colori giungono dal bravissimo artista Francese Andrey Rose, che con il suo nuovo album spalanca le proprie capacità su un dirigibile: farà il giro del mondo, sperando di poter atterrare nei cuori di chi sta cercando la dolcezza e la poesia di note istruite a celebrare la vita. Capace di traiettorie che fanno dello Shoegaze lo scheletro di questo mezzo di trasporto e del Dreampop la scia, il dotatissimo musicista sposta l’asse terrestre con le sue trame, battiti lenti e intensi, dove il suono è la chiave di violino della nostra fortuna, immensa. Dieci atterraggi sul pianeta melodico: come un architetto che progetta in uno sgabuzzino, fa volare via tutto il suo traffico emotivo, partendo da un luogo piccolo, che è la sua timidezza e forma di rispetto, per poi trascinare gli ascoltatori nel suo arcobaleno.

Vi si augura di spendere bene il tempo Freefall Into Heaven, sperando che queste canzoni diventino semi dorati nel vostro petto…
