 Final Body - Sick Quitter

Questa è la Seattle che scuote e conquista il vecchio scriba: duecento e sei secondi di polvere da sparo sotto la coperta del Post-Punk che, emigrato dalla Germania e planato negli Stati Uniti, compie un miracolo di intensità gotica, con gocce nevrotiche di esigenze plurime, per divenire un rosario da recitare in adorazione continua. Il cantato è una intensa preghiera profuga dalla terra abitata da Robert Smith nel periodo di Pornography. Sì, certamente, le chitarre hanno anche qualcosa dei Cure, ma sono altre le case sonore e di riferimento a cui si potrebbe guardare. Però: ciò che conta è essere sottoposti a questa fiumana in corsa di melanconia, così abbondante e piacevole…

 Isolationsgemeinschaft - Der Tanz geht weiter!

The power of dancing on autopilot: you don't have to pay attention to anything, just be a jet of muscle in the air, flying and dispelling all worries.

Making us become exactly that is the irresistible electronics of the German duo Isolationsgemeinschaft, who have descended to planet Earth to take us back to theirs: an ordered chaos of sounds coming from the satellites of Uranus, the Greek God of the sky. And it is there that we become glacial dancers in evolution. Starting with DA.F., the two surely thought that nothing should be forgotten, that it is legitimate to steal only what is good and perfect, and I would say that the operation was perfectly successful. 

Loops of microchips thrown into the absent mind produce sweat and metal in the muscles: when the Ebm pushes on the accelerator the Minimal Synth is absent, when the tracks get slower the Coldwave shows its chest, proudly.

A truly worthwhile album, majestic and never out of time.

 Isolationsgemeinschaft - Der Tanz geht weiter!

La potenza del ballo con il pilota automatico: non devi prestare attenzione a nulla, solo essere un getto di muscoli nell’aria, volando e disperdendo ogni preoccupazione.

A farci divenire esattamente tutto questo ci pensa l’elettronica irresistibile del duo tedesco Isolationsgemeinschaft, sceso sul pianeta Terra per riportarci nel loro: un caos ordinato di suoni che arrivano dai satelliti di Urano, il Dio greco del cielo. Ed è lì che si diventa glaciali ballerini in evoluzione. Partiti dai DA.F., i due hanno sicuramente pensato che nulla vada dimenticato, che sia legittimo rubare solo ciò che è valido e perfetto e direi che l’operazione è perfettamente riuscita. 

Loop di microchip lanciati nella mente assenteista producono sudore e metallo nei muscoli: quando l’Ebm spinge sull’acceleratore il Minimal Synth si assenta, quando i brani si fanno più lenti la Coldwave mostra il petto, con fierezza.

Un album davvero utile, maestoso e mai fuori tempo.

 23rd Underpass - Real Life

Can you imagine Athens, the Greek capital, queen of Italo dance, even for a second? I think not. But Costa Andriopoulo and Nadia Vassilopoulo think otherwise: their fascinations for that Italian season (not to be underestimated as capable of producing unquestionable goodies) are true and deep and their ability to mix it with the most qualified Synthpop has produced songs that come to create waves of dreams that are easy to grasp. It is good to see that there is still the will to make music a joyful and sensual experience, with songs that at the end of the dance lead you to embrace life.

 23rd Underpass - Real Life

Ve la immaginate Atene, la capitale Greca, regina della Italo dance, anche solo per un secondo? Credo di no. Ma Costa Andriopoulo e Nadia Vassilopoulo la pensano diversamente: le loro fascinazioni per quella stagione italiana (da non sottostimare in quanto capace di produrre indiscutibili chicche) sono vere e profonde e la loro abilità nel miscelarla con il Synthpop più qualificato ha prodotto canzoni che arrivano a creare onde di sogni di facile presa. Fa piacere constatare che esiste ancora la volontà di fare della musica una esperienza gioiosa e sensuale, con canzoni che alla fine del ballo ti conducono ad abbracciare la vita.

My Review: TWIN ION ENGINE - SKINWALKER

 TWIN ION ENGINE - SKINWALKER

The sea of thoughts finds landfall, with a dense dialogue, within the walls of San Diego, the city that seems unstoppable in generating sons devoted to quality music.

Such is the case with TWIN ION ENGINE, a duo that returns to the release of their enchanting music with this single, a demonstration of strength, class and their confirmed and distinct intention to sound more European than American.

Capable of creating an imagery of sadness in a rapture that leads them to run with pictures of Coldwave kissing Post-Punk on their skin, the song is a tale in which an addiction crumples life, with the ability however to give it rhythm, to make it dance and perhaps to lengthen its breath. 

If you pay attention, you will certainly not miss the fact that the singing seems to come from the huge Russian workshop, the good, musical one. With a bass like that and guitars that hum without a moment's pause, we find ourselves inside flows of continuous hypnosis, which does not relax but rather agitates the nerves in a moving way, with the merit of making us enthusiastic, even if inside a neurotic and sad cloak. 

A layered track, alternating instruments, it keeps the voice under the covers, in a whispered reverberation, while outside, in the dancing night, these notes are waiting to make it perfect.

From San Diego that's it, the line goes back to your ability to enjoy a delirium that lasts four minutes and six seconds but, mind you, no problem because the REPEAT mode will start itself...

La mia Recensione: TWIN ION ENGINE - SKINWALKER

 TWIN ION ENGINE - SKINWALKER

Il mare dei pensieri trova l’approdo, con un fitto dialogo, dentro le mura di San Diego, la città che sembra inarrestabile nel generare figli devoti alla musica di qualità.

È il caso dei TWIN ION ENGINE, un duo che torna alla pubblicazione della loro musica incantevole con questo singolo, dimostrazione di forza, classe e della loro confermata e spiccata intenzione di sembrare più europei che americani.

Capace di creare un immaginario fatto di tristezze in un raptus che le conducono a correre con sulla pelle le foto della Coldwave che bacia il Post-Punk, la canzone è un racconto nel quale una dipendenza accartoccia la vita, con l’abilità però di darle ritmo, di farla danzare e forse di allungarne il respiro. 

Se si presta attenzione non sfuggirà di certo il fatto che il cantato sembri provenire dall'enorme officina Russa, quella buona, quella musicale. Con un  basso del genere e le chitarre che ronzano senza fermarsi un attimo, ecco che ci ritroviamo dentro flussi di ipnosi continua, che non rilassa bensì agita i nervi in un modo commovente, con il merito di farci entusiasmare, seppure dentro una cappa nevrotica e triste. 

Un brano stratificato, che alterna gli strumenti, tiene la voce sotto le coperte, in un riverbero sussurrato, mentre fuori, nella notte danzante, queste note sono attese per renderla perfetta.

Da San Diego è tutto, la linea torna alla vostra capacità di godere di un delirio che dura quattro minuti e sei secondi ma, attenzione, nessun problema perché la modalità REPEAT si avvierà da sola…
