Tulips - Tangled In Transition

Certain music should be listened to on days of subtle rain, when the preoccupation with the force of nature does not offer tension and difficulty. Let us then delve into the most authentic Cologne, capable of offering relief and beauty permeated with consequential boiling reflections.

The Tulips are a hidden heritage, Unesco sometimes makes blunders: it should protect the German band, which with this EP has generated an uproar and a lesson in sounds and attitudes, throwing the past to the wayside, because these guys have changed and improved everything known about this kind of music. A form that grows from the epidermis, fast, rises to the sky, aided by the thrust of the bass and synths, the true rulers of these structures that seem to release toxins on repeat. An electrifying emotional state makes the compositions worthy of being considered a short but intense tale for a reading that becomes idyllic, especially for those with slight torments inside their minds...

Tulips - Tangled In Transition

Certa musica va ascoltata nei giorni di pioggia sottile, quando la preoccupazione della forza della natura non regala tensioni e difficoltà. Addentriamoci allora nella Colonia più autentica e capace di offrire sollievo e bellezza permeata di consequenziali riflessioni bollenti.

I Tulips sono un patrimonio nascosto, L'Unesco a volte prende delle cantonate: dovrebbe proteggere la band tedesca, che con questo EP ha generato un tumulto e una lezione di suoni e attitudini, scaraventando il passato verso un senso di colpa, perché questi ragazzi hanno mutato e migliorato di molto tutto ciò che si conosceva nei confronti di questo tipo di musica. Una forma che cresce dall’epidermide, velocemente, sale sino al cielo, aiutato dalla spinta del basso e dei synth, veri sovrani di queste strutture che sembrano liberare tossine a ripetizione. Uno stato emotivo elettrizzante rende le composizioni degne di essere considerate un breve ma intenso racconto per una lettura che si fa idilliaca, soprattutto per chi ha dei leggeri tormenti dentro la propria mente…

La mia Recensione: Plastikstrom - Tanz allein

Plastikstrom - Tanz allein

Torniamo indietro di quasi tre anni e planiamo in Germania, per poter gustare ancora la meravigliosa canzone della band di Reutlingen, per ballare avviluppati in una coperta elettronica, liquida, spavalda, gravida di Ebm strutturata per concedere incursioni a strutture musicali disparate ma educate al rispetto. Ecco allora che le tastiere, unite a una drum-machine impetuosa e nervosa, creano una melodia e una ritmica secca. Si accusano colpi allo stomaco, si è gettati nel fango, ci si sentirà fradici e colpevoli, scombussolati, ma determinati a godere di questa sciabola, che impiegherà pochi secondi per farvi innamorare…

Let's go back almost three years and glide back to Germany, to enjoy the Reutlingen band's wonderful song again, to dance wrapped in an electronic, liquid, swaggering blanket of Ebm structured to allow forays into disparate but polite musical structures. Here then are the keyboards, combined with an impetuous and nervous drum machine, creating a melody and a dry rhythm. You feel blows to the stomach, you are thrown into the mud, you feel soaked and guilty, discombobulated, but determined to enjoy this sabre-rattling, which will take a few seconds to make you fall in love…

La mia Recensione: Lara - Flight Patterns

Lara - Flight Patterns

È legittimo coccolare, essere coccolati, trovarsi in un incanto improvviso, nel dono di una gioia che ci convinca del nostro valore. Ci pensa, a definirlo, questa canzone perfetta, un confetto di luce su trame Dreampop che non esitano a tuffarsi nello Shoegaze più dilatato e gentile, per poi a un certo punto decidere di correre e portare i suoi cinguettii in un coinvolgimento che vede il drumming percuotere l’aria e lasciare entrare questa melodia, che è una bolla di un sogno che vorremmo infinito. Il quintetto Filippino, dotato di grazia e conoscenze musicali, infila, secondo dopo secondo, il suo nettare che da Asiatico diventa decisamente Americano, con un impeto gentile che è un onore dover dirigere verso l’applauso più scrosciante…

It is legitimate to cuddle, to be pampered, to find ourselves in a sudden enchantment, in the gift of a joy that convinces us of our worth. What defines it is this perfect song, a confection of light on Dreampop textures that do not hesitate to dive into the most dilated and gentle shoegaze, only to decide at a certain point to run and bring its chirps into an involvement that sees the drumming beat the air and let in this melody, which is a bubble of a dream that we would like to be infinite. The Filipino quintet, endowed with grace and musical knowledge, pours out, second by second, its nectar that turns from Asian to distinctly American, with a gentle impetus that it is an honour to direct to the loudest applause…

Dortmund continua a ribellarsi, a essere un vomito acido di cattive intenzioni (straordinarie e bellissime), e le concentra in una canzone, atomica tedesca, dai colori Post-Punk in connessione volontaria con il Punk quello crudo, con il fiato di una Darkwave che teme di non essere degna al cospetto di questa lucida aggressività. Una alabarda, una ferita intensa è pronta a dilatarsi con la sua velocità, una corsa giustificata e che le darà modo di prendere possesso delle vostre resistenze. Un gioiello da tenere nel palmo e ascoltare con l’acquolina alla bocca…

Dortmund continues to rebel, to be an acid vomit of bad intentions (extraordinary and beautiful), and concentrates them in a song, atomic German, with Post-Punk colours in voluntary connection with Punk the raw one, with the breath of a Darkwave that fears not to be worthy in the presence of this lucid aggressiveness. A halberd, an intense wound is ready to expand with its speed, a justified rush that will give it the power to take possession of your resistance. A jewel to be held in the palm of your hand and listened to with mouth watering...

Quanta bellezza concentrata, offerta, distribuita con classe e potenza, nel connubio inimmaginabile ma reale. È una sauna di gelida Coldwave con vapori Post-Punk quella che ci anestetizza la mente, ci svuota dell'inutilità di ascolti che potremmo evitare. Questo no, scherziamo? La musica che sublima la qualità, con misura, estensione di un viaggio programmatico che condensa decadi e ricordi, speranze, e annota le piume di una tristezza che non smettono di sbattere. Una corsa, loop e mantra in parata, sottili partiture elettroniche mostrano il volto, il polso, il bisogno di un contatto umano. Otto pietre piene di cotone che rotolano, fanno sobbalzare il cuore del vecchio scriba, conducendolo all’affermazione che questo lavoro sia un’opportunità immensa per vedere collezionate in un solo album la grazia e la bravura di un viaggio che pianterà la propria bandiera al centro del nostro cervello…

It is a sauna of icy Coldwave with Post-Punk vapours that anaesthetises our minds, emptying us of the futility of listening that we could avoid. Not this, are you kidding? Music that sublimates quality, with measure, the extension of a programmatic journey that condenses decades and memories, hopes, and notes the feathers of a sadness that won't stop fluttering. A rush, loops and mantras on parade, subtle electronic scores show the face, the pulse, the need for human contact. Eight cotton-filled rolling stones jolt the old scribe's heart, leading him to the affirmation that this work is an immense opportunity to see the grace and skill of a journey that will plant its flag in the centre of our brains collected in one album…
