My Review: Rise and Fall of a Decadence - You or Sydney

Rise and Fall of a Decadence - You or Sydney

It's been almost thirty years, but often the old scribe flips through the Parisian book of wonders and it's always a beautiful dip in the heart to come across these bittersweet compositions, pills of a time steeped in overblown sadness for a human condition that grows larger every year. The mood seems to pick up an ancient melodic pattern, a visiting epoch that seems to be reborn because of these techniques that take instruments and make them perform in the courtyard of a king, who plays like a child while everything crumbles. Songs like flowers that oppose joy, illuminating the listening that becomes a young wrinkle. Folk guitars fill the veins of sinuous synths, where the rhythm knows drums and the hands of the gods clapping happily. Two voices swell our chests, with the thoughtful tears of Mistake, the feast of forgiveness, with its counter-songs and rhythm that becomes a flashy dance within our pain. Death in June open the dances of First, in which the words tell of a loneliness that leads an existence to leave: the maturity of this band is seen in the majesty of the song, in these hints that end up in the territorial spheres of an overflowing Neo-Folk.
Listen to Strange Way, the King has a suffering story in his ears, and the Synths pick up the idea of strings that between the conscious reality of an end can only be thunder and wind. Then how can one miss the tip of the sensitivity mountain with Sweet Pills? Winter descends on Paris and the ruler cannot but establish that knowing reality is the only commitment in what is the only true season of existence, and he does so with melodies infused with rain and embraces of a romantic Neo Folk.
But all the songs are an experience for a poignant contact with the poetry that cannot stay alive in this time that wants to destroy everything: in your hands you have an album to take to a desert island...
