My review: Linebeck - karoshi (Over a dream)

Linebeck - karoshi (Over a dream)

There is no doubt that music is a globe of stories and feelings that meet emotional states and complications that generate conscious and unconscious streams of impact.

In a fertile area like Ontario lives a band of bearers of lightheartedness called Linebeck, minstrels and painters of stories who, in this luminescent example entitled karoshi (Over a dream), bring us reality, with its bad weather, the weight of work, the time that one struggles to manage and the unstoppable will to never stop. To do so, they choose a light poetry to transcribe into musical notes that fly through the walls and make us dance, with the impression that the band from Philadelphia A Sunny Day in Glasgow was among the many that blessed the Canadian quartet. But above all, this bittersweet frenzy enchants, between the lyrics that lead to important reflections and the kiss of truly captivating music.

Right from the introduction with tingling guitars and a nice combination of dizzying bass and drumming with Indie inclinations, and the keyboards to make us become wings of a flying dream, there is a little shoegaze sprinkle that makes the listening even more seductive. We just have to wait for the album: the premise is excellent.
