 Noeud - La grande évasion

Ti assenti per un po’ da un progetto di cui fai parte, e crei musica per conto tuo, in assoluta libertà e come lo fai? Meravigliosamente!

MD è un musicista dalle idee chiare e ci propone un brano dalle molte ambizioni in quanto, oltre a miscelare generi musicali non sempre affini (cosa in cui riesce benissimo), suggerisce come sviluppare il Synthpop con un evidente tracciato di lo-fi elettrico, creando una sospensione di atmosfera tra le note eccelsa. Come dice sempre il vecchio scriba, più che i gusti conta imparare e qui ne abbiamo modo, per un volo che è in grado di offrire una finestra verso il futuro.

È davvero una grande evasione o piuttosto vivere il passato è il prendere il tutto come una partenza? Direi che ad ogni modo una tale canzone sia l’esempio che ancora molto è possibile, e pure con notevole qualità.

L’ampiezza del dolore viene toccato, portato alla luce, senza tentennamenti da quella fascia di anime curiose e fameliche, devastate e devastanti che fanno parte di quella parte della musica gothic definita Deathrock. 

Curioso constatare, nel caso specifico dei Francesi False Faces, di come loro sappiano apportare nuove oscillazioni alla modalità, non negando l’origine e la base nord americana di questo genere musicale. Ma in questo album abbiamo dentro le unghie grattugiate di morte nuove e sostanziali forme di malattie mentali tutte seducenti, cattive, necessarie. La voce, di una fata con il mantello grondante sangue, rimane perennemente tenuta all’interno di una bara e non si sente mai limpidamente, conferendo un fascino e una ricerca della comprensione delle parole che è una ulteriore fatica, piacevole e illuminante. La batteria non segue i dettami del genere e spesse volte la si percepisce respirare attitudini rock. Nel contesto di chitarre meno sanguinolente ma più arrotate e distorte, il suono diventa ancora più pesante e la gioia della decadenza si alza in piedi applaudendo: un lavoro spettacolare ed educativo per il desiderio di mostrare la vecchia signora Europa mandare i propri figli negli USA e far vedere che la morte Francese non è meno deprimente e sacra della loro.

My Review: False Faces - 11 tracks demo

 False Faces - 11 tracks demo 

The amplitude of pain is touched, brought to light, without hesitation by that band of curious, ravenous, devastated souls that are part of that part of gothic music called Deathrock. 

It is curious to see, in the specific case of the French False Faces, how they know how to bring new swings to the mode, not denying the North American origin and basis of this musical genre. But on this album, we have within our fingernails scratched to death new and substantial forms of mental illness all seductive, evil, necessary. The voice, of a fairy with a cloak dripping with blood, remains perpetually held inside a coffin and is never heard clearly, lending a charm and a search for comprehension to the words that is a further effort, pleasant and enlightening. The drums do not follow the dictates of the genre and one often hears them breathe rock attitudes. Against the backdrop of less bloody but more rounded and distorted guitars, the sound becomes even heavier and the joy of decadence rises up in applause: a spectacular and educational work for the desire to show old lady Europe a requirement to send their children to the USA and show that French death is no less depressing and sacred than their own.

My Review: Molly - Picturesque

The first sweet tears of the new year come up from the stereo and kiss the old scribe: the creators of this unshakeable joy are Molly, the band from Innsbruck who, even though there are only six songs, release an album (it has all the trappings), which, besides being extremely moving, perfectly defines their reality, musical citizens free to range, to probe, to experiment, to be gazelles with dreams in their hooves, taking flight towards the beautiful Austrian mountains. How meticulous is the production, how perfect is the order of the tracks but, above all, how clear is the sky they show us.

Lars Andersson and his trusted stablemate Phillip Dornauer have no intention of repeating the good previous work entitled All That Ever Could Have Been and have composed an even better one: having abandoned the Shoegaze identity, everything here becomes rarefied, with Post-Rock sticking to the most refined Dreampop and far from the old clichés.  One can daydream and understand the density of the sounds, torches with no need for high voltage to shed light on our dreamlike moments. One weeps because the intensity achieved by the duo is an artistic gift of boundless capacity, as they are not even capable of holding back the fluidity of jewellery in search of a home. They find it in our eyes, while the Progressive spirit (no, they don't make this kind of music) leads the roots of Shoegaze to absent themselves quite a bit to play the game with ingenious touches of notes in serene taste and not biting our bellies with continuous rumblings. La mia Recensione: Molly - Picturesque

Le prime lacrime dolcissime del nuovo anno, salgono dallo stereo e baciano il vecchio scriba: gli artefici di questa incrollabile gioia sono i Molly, la band di Innsbruck che, anche se sono sei le canzoni, pubblica un album (ne ha tutti i crismi), che oltre a emozionare tantissimo definisce perfettamente la loro realtà, cittadini musicali liberi di spaziare, di sondare, di sperimentare, di essere gazzelle con i sogni negli zoccoli, spiccando il volo verso le bellissime montagne austriache. Come è meticolosa la produzione, come è perfetto l’ordine dei brani ma, soprattutto, come è limpido il cielo che ci fanno vedere.

Lars Andersson e il fido compagno di scuderia  Phillip Dornauer non hanno intenzione di ripetere il buon lavoro precedente intitolato All That Ever Could Have Been e ne compongono uno ancora migliore: abbandonata l’identità Shoegaze, qui tutto si fa rarefatto, con il Post-Rock appiccicato al Dreampop più raffinato e lontano dai vecchi cliché.  Si può sognare a occhi aperti e capire la densità dei suoni, torce senza bisogno in alto voltaggio per fare luce nei nostri momenti onirici. Si piange perché l’intensità raggiunta dal duo è un regalo artistico di smisurata capacità, non essendo nemmeno loro capaci di trattenere la fluidità di gioielli in cerca di una abitazione. La trovano nei nostri occhi, mentre lo spirito Progressive (no, non fanno questo genere musicale) conduce le radici dello Shoegaze ad assentarsi parecchio per giocare la partita con tocchi geniali di note in assaggio sereno e non mordendo la nostra pancia con fragori continui. Toccante e Perfetto…

 Spleen XXX - Poems of Charles Baudelaire

Normandy is a reasoned chaos, with no possibility of denying the greatness of intuition and complex brain-work, for an avant-garde that is inherent in the air that surrounds and protects it.

Musically, then, the list of bands that have made the presence of what the old scribe previously asserted extraordinary is endless.

Spleen XXX is a thunderbolt of conflicting instances, a basin of salty drops, in ruinous fall only for auditory apparatuses allergic to the most sensible noise. Of course, this is music when it comes to this LP, and magnificent it is too, but what must be noted is the propulsive force that goes beyond the enjoyability and usufruct factor: we are in front of a rational teletype of streams with straight, parallel legs, structured to leave no doubts, because what they need is to make the listener conscious through hammers of shaggy and bad senses, of that necessary wickedness nowhere else to be found.

The bass and guitar are, in this discourse, archers and the emblem of a cohabitation that thrives on uncomfortable impulses. They go beyond beauty as wounds tamed by dying intellects.

The drumming is a punishing, often muffled, beating, just like the guitars coming out of a red-hot iron factory, to make the bruises received become a kind of education. The singing is an industrial poetry that does not have to please: it serves an awareness that shatters the comfort zone with its low register.

For all this, the extraordinary movements of Her Hair and Beauty serve as examples: it is up to them to form your knowledge and then go on to touch the other six compositions.

Of course: Post-Punk - Gothic Rock - Minimal Wave are the easy shores to say 'wow, these French guys are nice': be smart, go beyond what could easily ruin their value and study their Art, because you cannot always postpone the appointment with duty... And yours is to take notes: the Masters of Rouen need your attentive listening and History has no time to waste.

Let it be a precious approach: the poems of Charles Baudelaire are an unmissable appointment!

 Spleen XXX - Poems of Charles Baudelaire

La Normandia è un caos ragionato, senza possibilità di negarsi la grandezza di intuizioni e di complessi lavori cerebrali, per un’avanguardia che è insita nell’aria che la fascia e protegge.

Musicalmente, poi, è infinita la lista di band che ha reso straordinaria la presenza di ciò che il vecchio scriba ha precedentemente asserito.

Spleen XXX è una folgore di istanze conflittuali, bacino di gocce salate, in rovinosa caduta solo per apparati uditivi allergici al rumore più sensato. Certo, trattasi di musica se si parla di questo LP, e pure magnifica, ma ciò che bisogna rilevare è la forza propulsiva che va oltre il fattore di godibilità e di usufrutto: siamo davanti a una telescrivente razionale di flussi dalle gambe diritte, parallele, strutturate per non lasciare dubbi, perché ciò che serve a loro è rendere cosciente l’ascolto attraverso martellate di sensi ispidi e cattivi, di quella cattiveria necessaria ormai introvabile altrove.

Il basso e la chitarra sono, in questo discorso, arcieri e l’emblema di una coabitazione che vive di impellenze scomode. Vanno oltre la bellezza in quanto ferite ammaestrate da intelletti in via di estinzione.

Il drumming è una punizione, spesso ovattata, che percuote, esattamente come le chitarre uscite da una fabbrica di ferro rovente, per costruire sui lividi ricevuti una educazione obbligatoria. Il cantato è una poesia industriale che non deve piacere: è a servizio di una consapevolezza che, con il registro basso, frantuma la comfort zone.

Per tutto ciò affermato siano di esempio le straordinarie movenze di Her Hair e di Beauty: a loro il compito di formare la vostra conoscenza per andare poi a toccare le altre sei composizioni.

Certo: Post-Punk - Gothic Rock - Minimal Wave sono le sponde semplici per dire “wow, belli sti francesi”: siate furbi, andate oltre ciò che facilmente potrebbe rovinare il loro valore e studiate la loro Arte, perché non si può sempre posticipare l’appuntamento con il dovere… E il vostro è quello di prendere appunti: i Maestri di Rouen hanno bisogno del vostro attento ascolto e la Storia non ha tempo da sprecare.

Che sia un prezioso approccio: le poesie di Charles Baudelaire sono un appuntamento immancabile!
