Campane robotizzate, cortei funebri ammassati, stesse morti da celebrare: tutta questa complessità di elementi si dà appuntamento in questa libellula uccisa, in una canzone manifesto, che vaga per il cielo per farci inchinare. Una roboante rappresentazione elettronica priva di esagerazioni, conquista ogni centimetro del nostro ascolto, per rendere possibile la necessità di prendere in affitto sberle gotiche all’interno di un Synthpop tenebroso e agghiacciante. Tutto scandito, processato, per un effluvio elettrico generoso e terribilmente soffocante: si piange senza sapere, si ascolta godendo, in modo assurdo, perché il brano è un sequestro efficace. L’incedere è terrifico, disumano in quanto nella sua lentezza la canzone scopre ogni nervo del nostro esistere: clamorosa!

Antiflvx - Crucifixion

Robotic bells, massed funeral processions, the same dead to be celebrated: all this complexity of elements comes together in this slain dragonfly, in a manifesto song that wanders the sky to make us bow down. A bombastic electronic performance devoid of exaggerations, it conquers every inch of our listening, to make possible the need to rent gothic slaps within a gloomy and chilling Synthpop. Everything is paced, processed, for a generous and terribly suffocating electric effluvium: one cries without knowing, one listens enjoying, absurdly, because the track is an effective sequestration. The pace is terrifying, inhuman, because in its slowness the song uncovers every nerve of our existence: sensational!

 Millions Of Dead Tourists - Healthy

Essenziali sensazioni si mettono in viaggio, nel trambusto, nella paura, nella tensione, piantando la bandiera della vittoria all’interno di quattro straordinarie composizioni: saranno ammassate nell’angolo di vibranti emozioni dalla pelle ruvida, tra impianti di elettronica e di una techno sperimentale seducente e piena di bava, in un'atmosfera da incubo tenuto a bada da questa pazzesca formazione greca. Quasi trentatré minuti di esplorazioni continue, con varianti, in una tribù di pensieri presi a calci da parvenze EBM e mutazioni ideologiche, nello stretto suono dell’incubo che fa flettere i panorami dei nostri bisogni. Il cuore si fa balbettante e si è catapultati in un luogo da cui velocemente saremo scaraventati fuori: perché la gioia di questa musica deve morire in fretta. Non ci rimarrà altra scelta che ripetere l’ascolto per cogliere tutte le sfumature di note e immagini  che ci faranno vivere, per ore, il desiderio di essere microchip coscienti…

Millions Of Dead Tourists - Healthy

Essential sensations take to the road, in turmoil, in fear, in tension, planting the flag of victory within four extraordinary compositions: they will be crammed into the corner of vibrant, rough-skinned emotions, between implants of electronica and seductive, drool-filled experimental techno, in a nightmarish atmosphere kept at bay by this crazy Greek line-up. Almost thirty-three minutes of continuous explorations, with variations, in a tribe of thoughts kicked up by EBM semblances and ideological mutations, in the narrow sound of the nightmare that flexes the landscapes of our needs. The heart stutters and we are catapulted into a place from which we will quickly be thrown out: because the joy of this music must die quickly. We will have no choice but to listen again and again to catch all the nuances of notes and images that will make us live, for hours, the desire to be conscious microchips...

Ohne Nomen - Darkness

An electronic lightning bolt emerges from a grace-soaked synth, with the eye catching the nuance of a darkness, a nightmare waiting to be touched, and it is the magnetic and sensual voice of Fra Marlat, along with the work of her partner Philippe Marlat (Iamnoone), who carves a deep mark with his fingernails in this cloudburst of sound that falls from the celestial face. The two return, and they do so by writing a track that reveals an intimate propensity to conjugate different souls, a pact of strength that makes one wince as both the sung and played parts develop the alchemy of these souls devoted to dark beauty. Fra has grown, a great deal: her voice is a lead feather breaking through the void, incisive, pragmatic, a queen of darkness painting her kingdom. Philippe is a talented machine intent on sweeping through the sea of possibilities: what he achieves is the marriage of melody and rhythm without any of the elements prevailing, for an unquestionable final maturity. Synthwave, Coldwave, drops of Minimal Wave: it is not in these definitions that you will find the right amount of pain and fascination. Throw yourself into the ice-filled waves and the Gods of Thought, in a joyful way, will be the beacons of truth because this song, like an incredulous torch, will be able to make a small ray bloom, just enough for you to see the depths of this poignant track…

La mia Recensione: Lunar Twin - Aurora

Riassumere il tempo e il mutamento dei luoghi in musica: credete sia una cosa semplice? Per nulla.

Eppure questo è ciò che accade ascoltando Aurora, che evidenzia l’enorme passo avanti rispetto a Ghost Moon Ritual, che già presentava momenti di intensa bellezza. Ma è davvero così, Bryce Boudreau e Chris Murphy in questo nuovo lavoro raggiungono il baricentro di una sensibilità che rivela dolcezza e la capacità di essere perfettamente in grado di connettere la sensualità. Lo scenario, l’impalcatura e le suggestioni consequenziali sono tutte dentro un’armonica flessione verso l’immensità della rifrazione della luce, mostrando come le loro canzoni siano gioielli sonori sotto i palmi di un tramonto che si ritrova inebetito per questa cura del dettaglio e per una produzione semplicemente perfetta. Loro non catturano, ma liberano le movenze dell’animo umano vestendolo di atmosfere che passeggiano con una sigaretta in bocca, attraversando la notte per sorridere all'arrivo del nuovo giorno. Frizzante, misteriosa, densa, volutamente generosa, questa creatura vive di dieci episodi nei quali tutto è un vedere più che un sentire, le note affondano nelle gocce di stupore e si è danzanti tra pellicole luminose in cerca di un abbraccio. L’elettronica diventa l’avamposto della Chillwave, in un matrimonio artistico che ristabilisce l’esigenza di ascoltare dischi provenienti dagli anni Novanta: i due compiono un servizio culturale, dove la storia torna ad avere la sua importanza e in cui permettono al presente di avere nuove soluzioni, non solo per differenziarsi, bensì per sviluppare un percorso cognitivo più che mai necessario. Avanzano, dirompenti, le sensazioni di trame oscure che non necessitano di essere negative, come anime notturne deambulanti in attesa di essere illuminate. Ascoltando Aurora ci si ritrova umidi, con le lacrime che sgorgano come soddisfazione e non come sofferenza, e asciutti al contempo perché i due ragazzi sembrano aver trovato il modo di assorbire le tensioni del vivere. I synth sono i veri protagonisti di ogni singola traccia, in quanto diventano i chirurghi della bellezza, ballerini in primis dei loro tratteggi armonici, indagatori delle possibilità, pittori di quadri umorali, con la capacità di donare, lungo i ventinove minuti, un senso di pace e positività che rende il tutto semplicemente utile e perfetto. 

Un album sicuramente utile per imparare la sinuosità dei sentimenti, per individuare la profondità della ricerca e per godere di soffi notturni in cerca di un sorriso: generosamente gravido di poesia…

Lunar Twin - Aurora

Summarising time and changing places in music: do you think this is a simple thing? Not at all.

Yet this is what happens when listening to Aurora, which highlights the enormous step forward compared to Ghost Moon Ritual, which already featured moments of intense beauty. But is it really so, Bryce Boudreau and Chris Murphy in this new work reach the centre of gravity of a sensibility that reveals sweetness and the ability to connect sensuality perfectly. The scenery, the scaffolding and the consequential suggestions are all within a harmonic bending towards the immensity of the refraction of light, showing how their songs are sonic jewels under the palms of a sunset that finds itself inebriated by this attention to detail and simply perfect production. They do not capture, but liberate the motions of the human soul by dressing it in atmospheres that walk with a cigarette in their mouths, crossing the night to smile at the arrival of the new day.

Sparkling, mysterious, dense, deliberately generous, this creature lives on in ten episodes in which everything is a seeing rather than a hearing, the notes sink into the drops of amazement and you are dancing between bright films in search of an embrace. Electronics becomes the outpost of the Chillwave, in an artistic marriage that re-establishes the need to listen to records from the Nineties: the two perform a cultural service, where history returns to its importance and in which they allow the present to have new solutions, not only to differentiate itself, but to develop a cognitive path that is more necessary than ever.

They advance, disruptive, the sensations of dark plots that do not need to be negative, like walking nocturnal souls waiting to be illuminated. Listening to Aurora one finds oneself moist, with tears flowing as satisfaction and not as suffering, and dry at the same time because the two boys seem to have found a way to absorb the tensions of living. The synths are the real protagonists of every single track, as they become the surgeons of beauty, dancers in primis of their harmonic hatching, investigators of possibilities, painters of mood pictures, with the ability to donate, along the twenty-nine minutes, a sense of peace and positivity that makes it all simply useful and perfect. 

An album certainly useful for learning the sinuosity of feelings, for identifying the depth of research and for enjoying nocturnal breaths in search of a smile: generously pregnant with poetry...

When a good song, being reworked, mixed, grows again, then you really understand what artists can do when they look at each other, study each other and decide to give it a pass. It happened with these two Heavyweights: Rotersand and Rotoskop. The track in question enters into space, a spaceship disrupting the trajectories of the objects in this universe, which was clearly waiting to dance while singing to a melody derived from the 1990s. Synths, samplers, electronic tricks, and the precipice becomes a plain, the darkness a ray of sunshine and everything flows, fast, like reading a pornographic novel. Moderate ecstasy, and then free to make us smile, in that darkness that is finally no longer alone...

Quando una buona canzone, venendo rielaborata, mixata, cresce ancora, allora intendi bene cosa possano fare gli artisti quando si guardano, si studiano e decidono di dare il lasciapassare a questa modalità. È accaduto con questi due Pesi Massimi: Rotersand e Rotoskop. Il brano in questione entra nello spazio, una navicella che sconvolge le traiettorie degli oggetti di questo universo, che era chiaramente in attesa di danzare cantando su una melodia figlia degli anni Novanta. Synth, campionatori, trucchi elettronici, e il precipizio diventa pianura, il buio un raggio di sole e tutto scorre, velocemente, come la lettura di un romanzo pornografico. Estasi moderata, e poi libera di farci sorridere, in quel buio che finalmente non è più solo…

La mia Recensione: Burning City - Burning City

Bisogna riconoscere che spesso la musica seduce, evoca, riporta alla mente, conquista per le sue molteplici capacità. Nel caso di questa band Tedesca tutto si evidenzia, alla massima potenza, in quanto è innegabile che, seppur nulla appaia come nuovo, alla fine ci si ritrovi all’interno di un perimetro cerebrale/emotivo e sensoriale enorme, che qualifica la nostra esistenza per i richiami e i giochi di potere stabiliti dalle chitarre, dall’armonia robusta, dalla perversa e piacevole volontà di un cantato che sa essere sognante, mentre tutta la tristezza ci frena addosso. 

Un Post-Punk puro che poi si lascia contaminare da un sentimento elettronico, finendo per atterrare in un luogo che pare iniziare alla fine degli anni Settanta ed è capace di saltare gli ultimi Vent’anni. Sono cinque fili arrugginiti, con una passata di olio sulla pelle, per far diminuire il dolore di chi le ascolta ma… quanta bellezza incontenibile!

Il crooning di Don’t Get Lost sembra uscire dalle corde vocali di Stan Ridgway. Le musiche di questo EP sono eclissi di buio, la Germania ti compare in sogno, mentre tutto scivola verso la prateria del nostro privilegio…

My Review: Burning City - Burning City

Burning City - Burning City

It must be acknowledged that music often seduces, evokes, brings to mind, and conquers by its multiple capabilities. In the case of this German band, everything is highlighted, to the utmost power, as it is undeniable that, although nothing appears to be new, in the end we find ourselves inside an enormous cerebral/emotional and sensorial perimeter, which qualifies our existence for the reminders and power games established by the guitars, the robust harmony, the perverse and pleasant will of a vocal that knows how to be dreamy, while all the sadness holds us back. 

A pure Post-Punk that then lets itself be contaminated by an electronic feeling, ending up landing in a place that seems to start in the late Seventies and is capable of skipping the last Twenty Years. It's five rusty strands, with a wipe of oil on the skin, to lessen the listener's pain, but... so much irrepressible beauty!

The crooning of Don't Get Lost seems to come out of Stan Ridgway's vocal chords. The music on this EP are eclipses of darkness, Germany appearing to you in a dream, as everything slides towards the prairie of our privilege...

Torna la Lady Gotica di Los Angeles, sempre più addentro a una coltre melodica di sentimenti oscuri che vengono quasi anestetizzati da arrangiamenti deliziosi, mentre la chitarra graffia e dà uno schiaffo (gradito, per carità!) al cantato, vero centro di gravità permanente, che è il faro di questo brano, lento, seducente e capace, con il suo Art Pop, di lasciare tutto perfettamente godibile. Non è difficile immaginare la danza che può suscitare Agoraphofic: una fiumana di sensi a circondare i desideri per farli arrendere, uno ad uno…
