The Palest Grey - Always Hunted
Words from the true home of the old scribe: a Deathrock album is always a splendid feast, full of scratches, bloody chills, assorted heaviness in a joyous circle.
The band from Florida The Palest Grey is among the most quoted in that sphere, making some necessary changes to make this musical genre even more immortal.
But, hey, we have a serious problem: the band disbanded after this tidal wave to pursue other projects among its members. We must therefore not wait for more compositions, but bless and adore this one work. It won't be difficult at all: between gothic flights and falls under gravestones, we have enough material to feel gratitude and lose ourselves in a resounding transport. Lovestains and Suicide will suffice: in these two episodes you will have the measure of the stylistic implants, the roots, the origins and the direction pulsing within their emotional spines.
Malek, Ripley and Azy are the three souls bridging the gap between old Florida vinyl and today's black-cloaked, amphibian scene, a solid whole, embalmed to withstand the elements, to give eternity a guarantee of permanence.
Of course, the objections are reduced to one: "Nothing new, old scribe!" who would reply with "Thank God!"
Full stop.
This album is food from obscurity for obscurity itself, and not for stormy critics unable to understand the value of this work.
Time for a leave-taking: the geography of intelligence needs a curious approach and this work could give you obscene amounts of mournful joy...
