My Review: The Bellwether Syndicate - Golden Age

The Bellwether Syndicate - Golden Age

When History can only be used in part, if at all: a dangerous but exciting act, possible if your name is William Faith and you have been in bands like Shadow Project, Faith and the Muse, The March Violets, Christian Death and others. And if your artistic partner also has a good story behind him. You listen to this song and you are captivated by the gothic lightness that does not suffocate, does not sadden, but rather makes you fly into tiny pop modes, while the bass pulses with grey, the guitar glides on black, but the melody, that of the refrain in this case, is minimalist, simple, able to seize the mind. Post-Punk nurtures the need for companionship, looks around and notices that there is a coloured bag on the roadside, a glam, dark veil, eager to leap into song.

With production that is nothing short of perfect, the change of pace opens up a beautiful scenario and the final guitar solo is one to remember for its intensity and depth. If tracks like this can still be heard, it means we can have faith in the music...
