My Review: Bonnie Trash - Hail, Haile!

 Bonnie Trash - Hail, Haile!

Twins: what an infinite mystery, a continuous exploration of what magnetises, surprises, amazes. If we then look at all this in the musical context, then we can go crazy, as in the case of the Bortolon-Vettor sisters, who with Bonnie Trash have found a way to infect the sound with barrages, continuous poisons and their inclinations to make listening a pleasurable trauma, generating greed in the name of dragging the senses towards crazy areas.

After last year's resounding album Malocchio, three songs arrive to thicken the chaos, to generate the ecstasy that seduces and makes us obedient. They range across musical genres, employ solutions that deaden survival thoughts and make their artistic work tombstones on the road, with reminiscences being put on hold to generate a sense of totally raw and vibrant freedom. Three tracks and three hallucinations, so that space becomes the place where their chains grip our wrists but also our throats: beauty can kill. Whether Post-Punk, Industrial or containing shoegaze feathers, it matters little: this is not music, but a delicious crater in which drowning is the sublime pleasure!

The marvellous deception begins with a dance that stirs up emotion like hot glue, amidst the gothic flashes and robes of Post-Punk that survives time. The vocals are a semaphore of vibrations, an up and down, with stuttering, edgy guitars to stun.

The second sonic encounter is nothing but a hypnotic delirium spilling out of Genesis P-Orridge's veins in a day while wolves defy daylight: a perverse, continuous sound, a prayer-annihilating recitative make it all an irresistible pagan path to give madness its reign. Then comes the crescendo that annihilates and smashes the sky into a thousand pieces....

The EP groans, amidst gusts of wind and tepidly searing noises, to find its last breath with the third performance of sombre force: the title song is a short-circuit of thoughts, a display of Neo Folk atoms prone to compulsory admission to a psychiatric hospital, its gait reminiscent of a herd of hyenas in the desert. Wailing, clanking, blows in the night, tension and hypnosis to channel it all towards the systematic search for the fear that presents itself: the old scribe drools with pleasure at this cacophonous march that makes thoughts foam...
